A Chinese Painted Marble Hanging Plaque
19th century, the stone painted on one side with figures amid billowing clouds in a landscape setting, the reverse with text, worked in black, red, yellow, brown, green and blue, set in a tielimu wood frame, the top with a bronze cloud form hook.
Condition
Significant fading or rubbing of pigments, reverse writing is mostly gone, some minor separation to frame joints from age, stone with a narrow fissure extending from the right side downward toward the lower center
