Treadwell Auctions is a versatile, boutique auction house designed to service private clients and institutions, and to trade at every level of the art business, from more general, modestly priced items to high end works of art. We are a full-service auction house, handling works in all fields, applying 35 years of staff knowledge and consulting with experts in particular fields. We provide expert advice and guidance throughout the entire process of selling at auction, so clients, both seller and buyer, seasoned collectors and those new to auction, are comfortable, well informed and ultimately satisfied with the results.

 
Located north of Manhattan, the largest art market in the world, we are uniquely positioned as a small auction house with large auction house expertise. We provide top level service to buyers and sellers while maintaining flexibility.

Women owned and operated, Treadwell Auctions was created by two friends who met while working at Christie’s New York. Megan Murphy and Marley Rabstenek realized a need for an auction house that can handle volume and value ranges while keeping the integrity of expertise intact. Both Megan and Marley are career auction specialists, who have worked at various houses and learned the business at all levels. Megan is a specialist in Mid Century Modern who has her own business dealing in the field. Marley is an Asian works of art specialist, focusing on Chinese works of art. Marley is USPAP certified and is an active appraiser and consultant in the field of Chinese art. With a hand chosen consultant team of specialists in all fields, Treadwell is well equipped to assess and sell items in all categories of art and antiques.
